Retreat focus: The secrets of self-compassion

In this retreat, we’ll explore self-love not as a concept, but as a lived experience — through movement, meditation, and meaningful introspection. Guided loving-kindness and self-compassion meditations will help you release the voice of self-criticism and cultivate a kinder, more compassionate relationship with yourself.

Throughout the day, you’ll be guided through a series of supportive practices designed to nourish body, mind, and spirit:

  • Hatha Yoga

    A revitalising movement practice to release stress, reawaken energy, and bring the body back into balance.

  • Yin Yoga & Sound Bowl Healing

    Slow, grounding practices to alleviate tension, calm the body, and invite deep rest and restoration.

  • Guided meditation

    A beautiful selection of meditations, including a powerful loving-kindness and self-compassion practice to reconnect with your inner strength and self-love.

  • Reflection and connection

    Moments for journaling, stillness, and quiet conversation to help integrate your experience and reconnect with your sense of self.

  • Nourishing food

    Delicious, wholesome lunch and refreshments that support your wellbeing from the inside out.

Guest Facilitator: Karen Floyd

We are pleased to have an amazing yoga teacher, Karen Floyd, guide a restorative Yin Yoga practice and a calming crystal sound bowl bath meditation. This is a beautiful healing experience which will leave you feeling blissful yet rejuvenated. Karen will also be offering a Yin and acupressure workshop during the retreat.

Karen has been teaching a variety of yoga styles for over 8 years. Her speciality is Yin Yoga and she loves to infuse her knowledge of Chinese meridian theory throughout all of her classes.

Karen is passionate about sharing yoga and meditation in community to help calm our mind, creating an optimum environment for healing to occur. The practice of yoga helps to reduce pain in our bodies and decrease the stress from everyday life.
